Takatsu, 50 has written over six books on face yoga and has been practicing facial exercises for more than 15 years. One of the best-known books is The Ultimate Guide To The Face Yoga Method. She said she came up with the idea of face yoga after she was involved in a grisly car accident that made her face out of alignment when she was 35 years old.

Around the same time, she began to notice signs of aging. She tried using facial creams but gave up because they were very expensive with little results to show. After years of frustration, one day she discovered that she had muscles on her face and decided to exercise them. To her surprise, the technique worked and even help to align her distorted face. The great thing about face yoga is that you can’t say you don’t have the time – every time you go to the loo you can practise this! Will research the best exercises for my issues and go for it!

    I do weights at home and my body is transformed so there’s no reason I can’t do my face a favour and be consistent with face yoga. The exercises are very, very good.

  • Cool, I surprised to read about your face yoga article. Mostly people exercise for body but they forgot to train face, because our face also have muscles like another part of body.

    I’ve heard of facial exercises more and more lately. It’s actually an old technique, but most people don’t know it exists. I had never heard of face yoga to be exact, but facial exercises I had. When I was younger, I used to hate my jawline – well, I still hate my jawline – and my Mom used to tell me there were exercises I could do to lengthen it. I hadn’t done much of them over the years, as much as I hate my jaws, so you’d imagine I’d have done them everyday. But, like exercising at the gym, I didn’t keep up with it. To this day, I still don’t, though I should since I detest how short it is.

    I’ll have to look into this face yoga though. Sounds like it works really well. Thanks for sharing this information with us!
