  • I’ve learnt a great deal of information about the L-ascorbic acid powder reading your article. I wasn’t aware that L-ascorbic acid could be bought as a single ingredient, as I always thought these fancy named beauty products had to be mixed to create a magical solution and then sold to the consumers.

I tend to dry orange peels and grind them to powder form. I then add either plain yogurt or water to form a paste before applying it on my face as a face mask. Is that close enough to L-ascorbic acid? 🙂

Thanks for sharing this article with us on L-ascorbic acid.

    • Hello Rani, thank you for your comment. Yes, actually it can be sold as a single ingredient and what’s more, you can get a good quality for a good price. If you are going to buy branded product from cosmetic company, you will probably pay much more. L-ascorbic acid is a form of vitamin C, and I wouldn’t really compare it with your home made mask.

Hello there! In my opinion, L-ascorbic acid powder is highly stable and can be mixed into your skincare products for an antioxidant boost. Because you mix the powder into a dollop of a serum or moisturizer before applying, it’s like mixing up a fresh (and guaranteed potent) dose every time.
